        How does Emisshield perform on pre-coated furnace rolls?

        Plate heat-treating rolls for an austenitizing steel plate furnace, built with Duraloy, eliminated scale pickup on the rollers after coating, which removes a recurring source of plate surface defects and roll maintenance.

        How does Emisshield perform on pre-coated tubes and burner tips?

        Metal components are coated and sintered before installation. Sintered burner tips in black-liquor recovery and coal service extended life 7× and 3× respectively. A coated radiant tube in a Swedish steel mill lowered exit-gas temperature from 500 to 430°C with tube life projected 3 to 5 times longer, outperforming more exotic alloys.

        Can Emisshield be applied on a production line?

        Yes. For General Cable, Emisshield developed the industry's first high emissivity coating for overhead power conductors (US patent 10332658B2) and the methods to apply it at production speed without adding a bottleneck, plus methods for in-service cables. Weatherometer testing predicted a 40-year coating life, with resistive losses down 4.5% and conductor temperature rise above ambient down 25%.
